Planning Commission

The Planning Commission, an advisory board to the City Council, consists of seven members nominated by individual City Council members and appointed by a majority vote of the City Council.

The Planning Commission is appointed by the City Council to:
    Prepare and review plans and programs pertaining to the development of the City;
    Prepare and recommend to the City Council the adoption of ordinances which promote orderly development;
    Review site plans; and
    Review and recommend to the City Council amendments to the zoning map of the City.

Planning Commission regularly meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.  This schedule is subject to change and will be noted in the Planning Commission Meeting Schedule below.
