This has been the bulk of my summer internship work. I've conducted interviews, surveys, and spent a lot of time reviewing software. To make sure I had software that fit my users' needs I wanted to make sure that I first had all the needs, and second could meet them. So I reviewed off the shelf software, open source software, and proprietary (but customizable) software. I looked at Plone, Joomla, Wordpress, DotNetNuke, PhpNuke, Drupal, and a few others. In the end Drupal won out for it's easy customization, plugins, and support.
This is what the prototype looks like now:
It has all the divisions, each division has a blog, a gallery, a file storage space, a forum, events, and a home page.
This is the older prototype, which is a bit less clean, has a few extra features, and doesn't have real division titles.
