  Heard of Google's MyMaps feature? Didn't think it was early powerful enough for your cartography needs? Enter Open Street Map. OSM is a user generated Free (as in freedom) map of the world. It's a road map. It's a public transit map. It's an everything map. And if it doesn't have the feature you want, it can be added through the project's democratic process. Topics Covered:
  • Creating maps from aerial imagery
  • Creating maps from GPS tracks
  • Rendering maps with Tiles@Home.
  • And possibly much, much more!

  Building the Media Box - presented by Ross Squires
  A presentation on using free software to build a multi-purpose media sharing center for your home. Based on the article featured at Nerdica.com. Note: This presentation can be moved any empty meeting for anyone that finds it more convenient to present on this night.

  Wiki Editing Night - Everyone's Welcome!
  
  CLUG will (possibly) providing food for a meeting dedicated to help tune up the CLUG Wiki. Anyone's welcome to join, as long as they're ready to help make the wiki a better place to learn!

  Game Hardware Hacking - Jordan Upham
  
  Jordan will be presenting on ways to hack and modify regular gaming hardware to use it to its full potential.


• Fall 2007 - Meeting #6

  Movie Night - Elephants Dream
  
  A showing of the open-source short film "Elephants Dream" by Project Orange. The film, documentary, and commentary will be viewed. Discussion afterwards.

  Building and Distributing Debian - Presented by Ross Squires
  
  A presentation demonstrating how to build and distribute software packages for Debian and its variants. Also, a guide will be taught on creating custom installation CDs for large deployment.
