The Clemson Linux User Group is dedicated to spreading the use of Linux in particular and Free Software in general at Clemson University. CLUG has several different methods of working towards this goal:
- Two or more installfests per semester
- Regular meetings every two weeks
- User support in person, through web forums, and on IRC
- Communication tools such as this web site and our mailing lists for the Linux community
- Extensive Linux documentation through Linux 101, our Linux Learning Wiki
- Server space for members' projects
- Sponsorship of other computer and technology related events such as TigerLAN
- The Ubuntu Support Project provides support for the courses in Clemson's Electronics and Computer Engineering Department that require Linux
- customized versions of Linux
- special Clemson packages
- Linux workshops
