Many non-free or strangely licensed applications were removed from Ubuntu backports as of Breezy, meaning people had to go a step further to obtain things like java and the win32 codecs. This has been addressed by a group that is external to the United States and is therefore not subject to the restrictions imposed by some of the 'non-free' software.
Check out Ubuntu PLF for a set of repositories containing things like the w32codecs package, Java, a few bigger games like Enemy Territory, etc.
System Rescue CD (or SysRescCD) is a bootable Linux CD that has many useful system rescue and disk management tools on it. One of the most common uses for this tool is to resize Windows and Linux partitions using the graphical QtPartEd program.Download the image, burn it to a CD, put it in a computer's CD-ROM, and reboot. Oh, and don't forget to read the manual.
I just got a pile of Ubuntu Hoary CD sets in the mail today. They look a little beat up from shipping, because they were pretty loose in the box, and they came all the way from The Netherlands.
We have both LiveCDs and Install CDs in the following quantities and architectures:

My announcements are boring so I stole this one from slashdot:
Ubuntu Linux 5.04, code name 'Hoary Hedgehog', is now available. It offers the following new features: Simple and fast Installation, live CD's for Intel x86, AMD64 and PPC, GNOME 2.10.1, Firefox 1.0.2, first class productivity software, and X.org 6.8.2.
In case you haven't heard, MandrakeSoft and Connectiva recently announced that the two Linux companies would merge. What they didn't say was what the new name would be. It has been announced: the new name is Mandriva. What a Mandriva is exactly, is left to speculation. Read the press release here and see connectiva.com for their side of things.
In related news, Ubuntu Linux users everywhere rejoice that they are no longer using the Linux distribution with the silliest sounding name.
With the substantial growth of the Ubuntu Linux community and userbase, this young distribution has pushed its way up to the #1 spot on distrowatch.com. See the article on Distrowatch for more on this development.

I just got a box of pressed Ubuntu Linux (Warty Warthog) CDs. I was hoping to have them at the last installfest, sadly they came about a week too late. So I've decided I'm just going to spread them around as much as possible until I get some CDs for the next release (Hoary Hedgehog). I have the following:
30 x86 Install CD/LiveCD packages
10 x86-64/EMT64 Install CD's
5 PowerPC Install CD's
See my profile for ways to get in touch with me and I'll hook you up. I'll have them at the next meeting (March 31) too.
