The next meeting is on Thursday, March 30. The topic for this week's CLUG meeting is Open Source Projects. I'll talk briefly about the mechanics of a project that develops free software, and my experiences as a member of a project. An open source software project is very different from a software business, and because of this it must be managed very differently. I'll discuss the why and how in my presentation. Most of the information I'll present will reference Karl Fogel's book,
Producing Open Source Software. The book is free and a great read, I highly recommend it if you're interested in participating in free software development.
