Officer Nominations

This is the thread in which we will do officer nominations for the Spring 2006 semester. If someone posts on the mailing list or in IRC (or, tells me in person Wink

) that they want to nominate someone in particular then I will post the nomination here for them. Anyone can make a nomination but only members who have paid dues for at least one semester may run for officer.

See this news posting for more details on the upcoming elections. See this forum post for officers' official duties.

Current officers are allowed to run more than once, for any position, if they like. Any member eligible for nomination, including current officers, may nominate themselves if they like.

I nominate Jay for President, he's been heavily involved with forward momentum for Linux on campus and has the know-how to keep things running.

For those of you who have been nominated, are you interested in the position? Why should members vote for you? How much time will you have for CLUG next semester; in general what are you willing to contribute to the position?
